A message from Judy

My life experience with successfully recovering from injury has definitely influenced the massage style that I have developed of integrating more than one modality to facilitate a client’s better functioning. Just as my success at reinventing myself to discover what career I’m best suited for and successfully healing from stage-3 Lyme disease & systemic Yeast has greatly influences my life choices.

My own successful self-healing journey has inspired me to support others in taking empowering steps, even beyond massage therapy, toward achieving pain-free living and in fulfilling their dreams through more balanced living. We largely live by our own design. I hope that the wisdom that I’ve gained by living though these experiences offers something positive to others.

The Journey:
Following college, four years of corporate jobs it was the gift of a lay-off that ultimately set me free on the path to massage therapy as a career and a lifestyle! I now felt challenged and free to re-examine my life goals and find out what I really wanted to do. I asked for God’s guidance daily… After several weeks off I connected with just how sick I’d become: with chronic diverticulitis, hypoglycemia, a chronic respiratory condition and hospitalization for exhaustion. What I wanted to be was WELL! I realized that I was so totally thrown off balance emotionally, physically and spiritually by staying in a work environment that was totally a wrong fit for me, I vowed to myself that I would never allow myself to keep choosing to do anything that made me sick again! I instinctively knew that there would be little resistance in my path once I got back on course.

Four years of fun, gainful self-discovery, pursuing only things which came easily and which made me feel fulfilled, finally landed me on the doorstep of massage school. Everything came together for me and for the first time I realized that I was on the right course. I had successfully reinvented myself to create a lifestyle that suits my values and helps me maintain healthy balance in life.

Recognizing the healing power of the right combination of massage and movement, I applied the various techniques and over about a 4-year period I rid myself of all the symptoms I had sustained from car accidents & other traumas, such as chronic pain, stiffness, & muscle spasms, as well as numbness from herniated discs and concussion symptoms. – A real testament to the power of working with the body in a gentle, systematic way.

I learned the biggest lesion about how to take charge of my health when in the mid 2000’s I was diagnosed with stage-3 Lyme disease, which was progressing rapidly into the nervous system, Two years following a 56-day IV therapy I still wasn’t well. I felt strongly that my body was holding onto a memory of it: that I needed to cleanse my body somehow. Determined to restore my immune system I switched to eating strictly whole foods especially greens five days a week which led me to discover I had systemic Yeast! After four months of following Yeast cleanse my micro-biome was brought back into balance, killing the yeast. And when the Yeast died every last Lyme symptom left with it! My nervous system had been restored from the affects that the Lyme disease and the IV therapy had on it. With no traditional medical advisor to guide me following the IV therapy, it took me at least seven years to recover. I did it by asking for guidance from above and by listening to and trusting my inner wisdom.

While in the healing process from Lyme I also felt, more than ever, that the exposure to chemicals weakened me. I found that I was greatly strengthened by ridding my home environment of as many chemical as possible and by making my own products for cleaning. And the next step was to improve the quality of my body-care products I use. I now use only Swiss formulated skin-care & make-up products which follow cleaner, European production standards. Since toxicity in the home comes from many sources and can lead to illness just as poor food choices can, I continually look for healthier options for my home environment.

Two years after completing this magnificent healing transformation with food and non-toxic environment, a quest for healing from the effects of the death of my Father ultimately led me to enroll at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. In October, 2015 I earned a certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. The knowledge and tools for "feeding the whole self" taught from a scientific perspective validated the process I’d just gone through which restored my whole microbiome, which then restored me to the state of whole heath again.

In order to enjoy a sustain living a fulfilling, vibrant life we must listen to our inner wisdom and feed the WHOLE self. By supporting our physical, emotional, spiritual and energetic aspect we become more fulfilled in a more balanced way. Paying attention to how we feel about our job, out friends, our physicality, how things are going for us, etc can give us vital information and lead us to discover the cause and a solution. Chronic illness does NOT have to be an inevitable state of being.

Pain-free physical function is all about movement…
Health is all about “feeding” the whole self"...
Feel Alive Again by coming more wholly in balance!

I wish you vibrant Health.
